Henry Owens get a no-decision as Boston defeats White Sox

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Henry Owens handed out six walks over three innings, allowing two runs in a no-decision against the White Sox on Thursday.

What It Means:

Owens yielded just two hits -- one of which was a home run -- but the inefficiency killed him. It wasn't just this start, either, as he now has 13 walks through 12 1/3 innings overall. Assuming Eduardo Rodriguez won't be back in time, Owens could draw another start Tuesday against the Oakland Athletics, but he won't be in the rotation for long with many more outings like this.

Things could have been much worse,as Owens escaped with a 5.11 ERA and 2.11 WHIP through three starts in his third no-decision of the year. He now owns a 15.25 strikeout percentage.
