Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Drew Rasmussen and the Tampa Bay Rays.
The Angels are giving Trout a breather in the day game after a night game. He started six straight games after retuning from the 10-day injured list. Magneuris Sierra will replace Trout in center field and hit sixth. Shohei Ohtani will hit second and Taylor Ward will hit third.
Sierra has a $2,000 salary on Thursday and numberFire’s models project him for 5.7 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Angels’ implied total (3.11) is second-lowest out of the 18 active teams today.
