Pirates option Jason Rogers to Triple-A Indianapolis
Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Jason Rogers has been optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis.
The Pirates haven't announced a corresponding roster move, although it's possible the team will activate Jung Ho Kang (knee) from the disabled list. Rogers struggled in his short time in the major leagues, collecting just one hit in 13 at-bats. He should get more chances later this year.
Our models project Rogers to rack up 107 more plate appearances with a .253/.330/.368 slash line, .308 wOBA and two home runs.
