Orioles' Jimmy Paredes (wrist) needs to hit more during rehab
Baltimore Orioles second baseman Jimmy Paredes (wrist) needs to hit more during his rehab assignment, Orioles' manager Buck Showalter said.
The 27-year-old clearly has some rust to shake off. The Orioles are allowed to continue his rehab assignment until May 15. After that, he'll either be recalled or optioned to the minors.
Paredes has hit a dismal .192 (5-for-26) with nine strikeouts since beginning his rehab assignment with Double-A Bowie on April 26. Prior to the start of the 2016 season, our models projected a .316 wOBA with five home runs in 210 plate appearances for Paredes.
