Luke Voit scratched from Nationals' lineup Saturday; Lane Thomas back in
Washington Nationals infielder Luke Voit has been scratched from the lineup Saturday in the team's game against the San Diego Padres.
It's currently unknown exactly why the slugger has been removed from the lineup. In any case, he will no longer start Saturday night. Lane Thomas will re-enter the batting order in Voit's absence.
In 402 plate appearances this season, Voit has a .224 batting average with a .732 OPS, 16 home runs, 44 runs, 53 RBI and 1 stolen base.
