George Springer (knee) not in Blue Jays' Friday lineup
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer is sitting Friday in the team's game against the New York Yankees.
Springer fouled a ball off his knee in Thursday's win, and as a result, he will get Friday off. He's being replaced at designated hitter by Alejandro Kirk versus Yankees starter Jameson Taillon.
In 401 plate appearances this season, Springer has a .267 batting average with an .821 OPS, 18 home runs, 64 runs, 51 RBI and 10 stolen bases.
