Jason Delay joining Pirates' bench Thursday
Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Jason Delay is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against right-hander Josh Winckowski and the Boston Red Sox.
Tyler Heineman will replace Delay at catcher and hit ninth. Delay started the past three games and four of the last five, but he should see reduced playing time now that Heineman is back from the injured list.
Heineman has a $2,000 salary on Thursday and numberFire’s models project him for 7.2 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Pirates' implied total (3.90) is fifth out of 10 teams on the Main slate.
