Minnesota Twins catcher J.R. Murphy went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts on Wednesday, leaving him 3-for-40 on the season.
At least the Twins' pitchers had been performing much better with Murphy catching than with Kurt Suzuki behind the plate -- well, at least until they gave up 16 runs in this one. The Twins might opt to send down Murphy to give him a chance to sort through his offensive struggles in the minors.
Murphy is the owner of an underwhelming .075/.119/.100 slash and .105 wOBA. His three hits this season consist of two singles and a double.
