Keibert Ruiz (head/knee) back Wednesday for Nationals
Washington Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz (head/knee) is back in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale versus left-hander Drew Smyly and the Chicago Cubs.
Ruiz was held out of Tuesday's lineup after being roughed up Monday by multiple foul tips, but he went 1-for-2 with a walk as a pinch-hitter. Tres Barrera will return to the bench while Ruiz catches for Cory Abbott and bats fifth.
Ruiz has a $2,300 salary on Wednesday and numberFire’s models project him for 8.5 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Nationals’ implied total (4.03) is No. 15 in the majors today.
