Lane Thomas leading off for Nationals Wednesday afternoon
Washington Nationals outfielder Lane Thomas will bat leadoff in Wednesday afternoon's series finale versus left-hander Drew Smyly and the Chicago Cubs.
Thomas will move to center field and take over in the leadoff spot for an idle Victor Robles. This is Thomas' fourth consecutive start while it is Robles' second absence in three games.
Thomas is numberFire's third-best point-per-dollar value among projected batters on Wednesday. He has a $2,100 salary and our models project him to score 11.9 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Nationals’ implied total (4.03) is No. 15 in the majors today.
