Brandon Marsh (knee) sidelined for Phillies Wednesday afternoon
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Brandon Marsh (knee) is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Nick Lodolo and the Cincinnati Reds.
Marsh exited Tuesday's contest with a knee injury after colliding into the outfield wall. He was scheduled to undergo an MRI, but the Phillies haven't provided any test results yet. Matt Vierling will move to center field in place of Marsh while Nick Maton starts in left field and hits ninth.
Maton has a $2,000 salary on Wednesday and numberFire’s models project him for 10.7 FanDuel points, which currently makes him our fourth-best point-per-dollar value among projected batters. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Phillies’ implied total (4.71) is tied for fourth-highest in the majors today, despite Lodolo having the fifth-highest strikeout percentage on the board for the season (28.6%).
