Baltimore Orioles reliever Zach Britton (ankle) threw a 10-pitch bullpen session Wednesday without issue.
Britton has been on the shelf since spraining his left ankle last Saturday, but his return now appears imminent. Darren O'Day has been serving as the Orioles' fill-in closer and earned his second save of 2016 on Tuesday.
Britton has pitched 10 innings so far this season, posting a 1.37 xFIP and an impressive 35.1 strikeout percentage on his way to recording six saves. Our models currently project him to finish the season with a 2.32 ERA, 27.9 strikeout percentage and 33 saves in 70 innings pitched.
