Texas Rangers outfielder Bubba Thompson is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Seattle Mariners.
Thompson will move to the bench on Friday with Brad Miller starting at designated hitter. Miller will bat ninth versus right-hander George Kirby and Seattle.
