Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Kyle Schwarber (calf) is not starting in Friday's game against the New York Mets.
Schwarber will sit on the bench after Philadelphia's slugger was forced to leave last night's contest with a calf ailment, Matt Vierling was shifted to left field, and Brandon Marsh was aligned in center.
Per Baseball Savant on 265 batted balls this season, Schwarber has recorded a 21.5% barrel rate and a .378 expected weighted on-base average.
