Starling Marte sitting for Mets in Wednesday matinee
New York Mets outfielder Starling Marte is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander T.J. Zeuch and the Cincinnati Reds.
The Mets are giving Marte a breather for the day game after he went 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts on Tuesday. He has two hits and four strikeouts in his last 14 at-bats. Tyler Naquin will take over in right field and hit sixth on Wednesday afternoon.
Naquin has a $2,900 salary on Wednesday and numberFire’s models project him for 11.7 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mets’ implied total (5.72) is second-highest in the majors on Wednesday.
