Josh Palacios joining Nationals' bench Monday
Washington Nationals outfielder Josh Palacios is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Keegan Thompson and the Chicago Cubs.
Palacios will return to the bench after drawing a start on Sunday. Lane Thomas will move to right field and hit seventh while Victor Robles takes over in center and at the top of the Nationals' lineup. Robles recorded four hits, including two for extra bases, in the last four games and he has three steals over his last 13 contests.
Robles is currently numberFire's fifth-best point-per-dollar value among hitters on Monday. He has a $2,200 salary and our models project him for 10.6 FanDuel points. Thomas is currently the eighth-best value among batters on our board. These values are available in spite of the fact, per our MLB Heat Map, the Nationals have the fourth-lowest implied total (3.45) out of 14 active teams.
