Tampa Bay Rays utility-man Brandon Lowe is starting in Thursday's game against the Detroit Tigers.
Lowe will bat in Tampa Bay's designated hitting spot after David Peralta was positioned in left field, Randy Arozarena was shifted to right, and Roman Quinn was left on the bench.
