Ender Inciarte (hamstring) cleared by Braves for rehab games

Atlanta Braves outfielder Ender Inciarte (hamstring) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Wednesday with Triple-A Gwinnett.

What It Means:

And he could be back on the Braves' active roster by the weekend if everything goes smoothly. Inciarte has been on the shelf since April 9 with a hamstring strain. Mallex Smith has been serving as Atlanta's primary center fielder and currently holds a rough .218/.295/.327 slash line over his first 18 major league games.

Inciarte played in just three games this season prior to injuring his hamstring, slashing .250/.400/.250 with 2 walks and 1 strikeout. Our models currently project him to post a .316 wOBA with 4 home runs and 8 steals in 315 plate appearances in 2016.
