Victor Caratini catching Thursday for Brewers
Milwaukee Brewers catcher Victor Caratini is in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Zach Thompson and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
What It Means:
The Brewers placed Omar Narvaez on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a quad strain and they designated Pedro Severino for assignment on Wednesday, so Caratini is the club's top backstop for now. He will catch for Brandon Woodruff and hit seventh on Thursday afternoon. Mario Feliciano was called up from Triple-A Nashville to replace Narvaez on the roster.
