Zach Britton (ankle) could return this week for Orioles
Baltimore Orioles pitcher Zach Britton (ankle) will play catch Tuesday and could return this week.
Britton sprained his left ankle Saturday while trying to field an Adam Eaton bunt, but X-rays and an MRI both revealed no structural damage. He should be back soon, but Darren O'Day could vulture a save chance or two this week, so he's worth stashing for now in fantasy leagues.
Britton has pitched 10 innings so far this season, posting a 1.38 xFIP and an impressive 35.1 strikeout percentage on his way to recording 6 saves. Our models currently project him to finish the season with a 2.42 ERA, a 27.5 strikeout percentage, and 34 saves in 71 innings pitched.
