Diamondbacks send RHP Luke Weaver to Royals for Emmanuel Rivera
The Arizona Diamondbacks traded right-handed pitcher Luke Weaver to the Kansas City Royals in return for third baseman Emmanuel Rivera.
What It Means:
Weaver will head to Kansas City, where he may have a chance to work into the Royals' rotation after he became a reliever this season.
Weaver carries a 7.71 ERA and a 1.78 WHIP over to Kansas City, and has 10 strikeouts to 5 walks in 16.3 innings so far this season.
