Josh Lowe optioned to Triple-A by Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Josh Lowe has been sent down to Triple-A by the team Sunday.
The Rays just went out and acquired veteran outfielder David Peralta to punch up the offense a bit as the trade deadline nears. To make room on the 26-man active roster, Lowe was optioned to Durham.
In 198 plate appearances this season, Lowe has a .221 batting average with a .627 OPS, 2 home runs, 24 runs, 13 RBI and 3 stolen bases.
