Luis Gonzalez idle for Giants Thursday night
San Francisco Giants outfielder Luis Gonzalez is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's series opener against left-hander Justin Steele and the Chicago Cubs.
Gonzalez started the past five games for the Giants. Mike Yastrzemski will shift to right field and hit ninth while Austin Slater returns to center field and the leadoff spot.
Slater is currently numberFire's second-best point-per-dollar value on Thursday's main slate. He has a $2,400 salary and is projected for 13.0 FanDuel points.
