Nomar Mazara sitting for Padres' Wednesday matinee
San Diego Padres outfielder Nomar Mazara is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Tarik Skubal and the Detroit Tigers.
The Padres are giving the lefty-hitting Mazara a breather in the matinee against a southpaw. Esteury Ruiz will replace Mazara in right field and hit eighth.
Ruiz has a $2,100 salary on Wednesday and numberFire’s models project him for 7.8 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Padres’ implied total (3.69) is No. 20 out of 28 active teams Wednesday.
