Devin Mesoraco undergoes MRI on shoulder for Reds
Cincinnati Reds catcher Devin Mesoraco had an MRI on his ailing left shoulder.
What It Means:
After being scratched from Monday's game against the San Francisco Giants, Mesoraco has now missed four straight starts. That he needed an MRI isn't exactly the best sign. It appears that a trip to the disabled list is very possible.
In addition to the injury, Mesoraco owns a .182 wOBA through 55 plate appearances this season, so his absence could serve as a sort of mental break, as well. Over the rest of the campaign, we project Mesoraco to post a .255 wOBA with 4 long balls.
