Sheldon Neuse sitting Monday for Athletics
Oakland Athletics infielder Sheldon Neuse is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Jake Odorizzi and the Houston Astros.

The Athletics placed infielder Seth Brown on the paternity list Monday, so Neuse could see a bump in playing time during the series, but he's returning to the bench for the opener. Vimael Machin will replace Neuse on third base and bat leadoff while Nick Allen drops down to the bottom of the order.
