Baltimore Orioles infielder Jorge Mateo is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Corey Kluber and the Tampa Bay Rays.
Mateo extended his hitting streak to six games in Sunday's shutout loss to the New York Yankees, but he is getting a breather a day later. Jonathan Arauz is replacing Mateo at shortstop and in the nine-hole.
Arauz has a $2,000 salary on Monday and numberFire’s models project him for the fewest FanDuel points (4.6) on the board among hitters. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Orioles’ implied total (4.13) is 15th out of 24 active teams.
