The Houston Astros did not list Yordan Alvarez in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Seattle Mariners.
Alvarez will take the afternoon off while Kyle Tucker takes over at designated hitter, Chas McCormick covers right field, and Aledmys Diaz, who will bat sixth, covers left field.
Alvarez has been sensational this season, batting .307 with a 1.075 OPS through 329 plate appearances. He has 28 home runs, 61 runs, and 65 RBI.
