Martin Maldonado moving to Houston bench Friday
Houston Astros catcher Martin Maldonado is not in the starting lineup for Friday's series opener against left-hander Cole Irvin and the Oakland Athletics.
What It Means:
Korey Lee will start at catcher and hit ninth. Maldonado started all three games of the Astros' series against the Los Angeles Angels and went 3-for-10 with a double.
