Nelson Cruz scratched for Washington Tuesday; Yadiel Hernandez enters
Washington Nationals designated hitter Nelson Cruz has been scratched from the lineup Tuesday in the team's game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
No reason has been given for the veteran's sudden departure from the lineup, which comes just as first pitch was underway. In any case, after some defensive reshuffling, Yadiel Hernandez has entered the lineup versus Phillies starter Christopher Sanchez.
In 319 plate appearances this season, Cruz has a .241 batting average with a .691 OPS, 8 home runs, 38 runs, 46 RBI and 2 stolen bases.
