Raimel Tapia sitting for Blue Jays Monday
The Toronto Blue Jays did not list Raimel Tapia in their lineup for Monday's game against the Oakland Athletics.
Tapia will take the evening off as the Blue Jays take on the A's. George Springer will take over in centerfield, Vladimir Guerrero will start at designated hitter, Cavan Biggio will cover first base, and Santiago Espinal will start at second base and bat eighth.
Tapia has made 232 plate appearances in his first season with the Blue Jays. He's batting .257 with a .647 OPS and has 3 homers, 24 runs, 21 RBI, and 4 stolen bases.
