Chicago Cubs catcher Yan Gomes is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cincinnati Reds.
Gomes will move to the bench on Wednesday with Willson Contreras moving behind the plate and Nelson Velazquez entering the lineup in right field. Velazquez will bat sixth versus right-hander Hunter Greene and the Reds.
