J.D. Davis absent from Mets' lineup in Wednesday matinee
New York Mets designated hitter J.D. Davis is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's game against right-hander Justin Verlander and the Houston Astros.
Davis is taking a seat after starting the last three games. Pete Alonso is handling the DH role while Dominic Smith starts on first base and bats seventh.
numberFire’s models project Smith for 8.1 FanDuel points on Wednesday, and he has a $2,000 salary. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mets’ implied total (3.98) is 20th in the majors on Wednesday.
