Astros place Michael Brantley (shoulder) on IL Tuesday
The Houston Astros placed left fielder/designated hitter Michael Brantley on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a shoulder injury.
Brantley exited Sunday's game with a shoulder issue and he will now be out until at least July 7. The Astros recalled Chas McCormick from Triple-A Sugar Land on Tuesday in a corresponding roster move. Yordan Alvarez is replacing Brantley at designated hitter and batting third in Tuesday's game against right-hander Carlos Carrasco and the New York Mets. McCormick is starting in left field and batting seventh.
numberFire’s models project Alvarez for 12.1 FanDuel points on Tuesday, and he has a $4,000 salary. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Astros’ implied total (4.13) is 14th in the majors on Tuesday.
