Josh Naylor joining Guardians' bench Tuesday afternoon
Cleveland Guardians first baseman Josh Naylor is not in the starting lineup against left-hander Devin Smeltzer and the Minnesota Twins in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader.
The Guardians are holding the lefty-hitting Naylor out of the order against the Twins' southpaw. Owen Miller is moving to first base while Franmil Reyes returns to the lineup as the designated hitter and cleanup batter. Naylor will likely be back in the lineup for the second game.
Reyes has a $5,500 salary on Tuesday's single-game slate for the matinee and numberFire’s models project him for 10.8 FanDuel points. Miller has a $7,000 salary and is projected for 8.8 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Guardians' implied total is 4.25 and the over/under for the game is 8.5.
