Lonnie Chisenhall

Lonnie Chisenhall (neck) out of Indians' lineup Wednesday

Cleveland Indians third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall (neck) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest with the Minnesota Twins.

What It Means:

Chisenhall was lifted from Tuesday's game with the Twins in the bottom of the fifth inning after he strained his neck while attempting to make a diving catch. Marlon Byrd takes his place in right field on Wednesday and is batting eighth. We could see Chisenhall back in action when the Indians face the Philadelphia Phillies this weekend.

Chisenhall struggled to a .246/.294/.372 line in 362 plate appearances last season, posting a .288 wOBA with seven home runs. Our models currently project him to record a .292 wOBA with five home runs in 257 plate appearances in 2016.
