The New York Mets did not list J.D. Davis in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Miami Marlins.
Davis will take the afternoon off while Nick Plummer takes a start at designated hitter and bats eighth.
Davis has made 149 plate appearances so far this season, with a .262 batting average and a .713 OPS. He has 2 home runs, 19 runs, and 14 RBI.
