Guardians' Andres Gimenez catching a breather Sunday
The Cleveland Guardians did not include Andres Gimenez in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Oakland Athletics.
Gimenez will start Sunday's game on the sidelines while Ernie Clement joins the starting lineup at third base and bats seventh. Jose Ramirez will move from third to designated hitter and Owen Miller will take over from Gimenez at second base.
Gimenez is in the midst of his best season in the majors yet. The 23-year-old is batting an impressive .303 with a .862 OPS across 166 plate appearances and has 7 homers, 21 runs, 31 RBI, and 4 stolen bases so far.
