Athletics' Luis Barrera out of Thursday lineup

Oakland Athletics outfielder Luis Barrera is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's series opener against left-hander Konnor Pilkington and the Cleveland Guardians.

What It Means:

Ramon Laureano is returning to right field in place of Barrera and hitting second while Cristian Pache fills the void in the lineup to play center field and bat ninth. Elvis Andrus is hitting sixth against the Guardinas' southpaw.

numberFire’s models project Laureano for 10.3 FanDuel points on Thursday, and he has a $2,800 salary. Andrus is projected for 10.2 FanDuel points with a $2,600 salary. Per our MLB Heat Map, Pilkington has the sixth-highest strikeout rate (29.1%) out of Thursday's listed starters.
