What It Means:

Billingsley has struggled to stay healthy past couple years. He started seven games this year and had a miserable 5.84 ERA. His 4.73 FIP was better, but still poor. His strikeout rate barely registered with only 3.65 strikeouts per nine. These were easily the worst numbers of Billingsley's career to date and our algorithm has him projected to maintain the same ERA for the remainder of the season.
