Mike Trout serving as designated hitter for Angels in Monday's lineup
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout will serve as the designated hitter (DH) Monday against the Kansas City Royals.
Trout fouled a ball off his foot during Saturday's game, so serving as the DH will allow him to get somewhat of a breather. Rafael Ortega will start in center field Monday while Ji-Man Choi will play left.
Through 80 appearances at the plate, Trout has recorded a .369 wOBA and three jacks. His slash currently reads .299/.400/.493. He projects as our second-best hitter for Monday night. Ortega also makes for a nice value play.
