Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Michael Chavis is not in the lineup Saturday in the team's game against the San Diego Padres.
Chavis is being replaced at first base by Josh VanMeter versus Padres starter Joe Musgrove.
In 122 plate appearances this season, Chavis has a .286 batting average with a .793 OPS, 4 home runs, 11 runs and 15 RBI.
