Ryan Jeffers joining Twins' bench Wednesday afternoon
Minnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Rony Garcia and the Detroit Tigers.
Jeffers is taking a seat after starting the first two games of the series and going 0-for-5 with a walk and two strikeouts. Gary Sanchez is starting at catcher on Wednesday and Byron Buxton is at designated hitter. Trevor Larnach is entering the lineup in place of Jeffers to play left field and hit sixth.
numberFire’s models project Larnach for 9.6 FanDuel points on Wednesday, and he has a $2,000 salary. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Twins are the third-biggest favorite (-196) in the majors on Wednesday.
