Sam Hilliard sitting for Rockies Wednesday afternoon
Colorado Rockies outfielder Sam Hilliard is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Zach Thompson and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
What It Means:
Hilliard is taking a seat after starting the first two games of the series. Connor Joe is shifting to left field in place of Hilliard and Charlie Blackmon is taking over at designated hitter. Yonathan Daza is entering the lineup to bat second and join Joe and Randal Grichuk in the outfield.
