Oakland Athletics first baseman Christian Bethancourt is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against right-hander George Kirby and the Seattle Mariners.
Bethancourt is moving to the bench after starting the past two games. Seth Brown is replacing Bethancourt on first base and batting cleanup.
