Diamondbacks' Jake Hager on bench Thursday
Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Jake Hager is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's series opener against right-hander Marcus Stroman and the Chicago Cubs.
Hager started at second base and went 1-for-2 with a walk in Wednesday's series finale against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He made three straight starts on the keystone after being called up earlier this week, but Hager is on the bench Thursday while Ketel Marte is back in action after dealing with some hand soreness.
Hager is averaging 5.2 FanDuel points through three games this season. Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Diamondbacks are currently +108 underdogs on Thursday and the over/under is at 9.0.
