St. Louis Cardinals infielder Edmundo Sosa (ankle) is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Chris Bassitt and the New York Mets.
Sosa exited Wednesday's game with an ankle issue and he is considered day-to-day for now. Tommy Edman, who was held out of Wednesday's lineup due to calf soreness, is back on second base and the leadoff spot for Thursday's contest.
