Cedric Mullins moving to Baltimore bench Thursday afternoon
Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Jordan Montgomery and the New York Yankees.
The Orioles appear to be giving Mullins a day for some physical and mental rest amid a 2-for-16 slump at the dish. Ryan McKenna is replacing Mullins in the lineup to play center field and hit eighth. Austin Hays is covering the leadoff role for Baltimore.
numberFire’s models project Hays for 10.5 FanDuel points on Thursday, and he has a $2,600 salary. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Orioles have the third-lowest implied total (3.38) in the majors on Thursday.
