Yan Gomes sitting Tuesday for Cubs
Chicago Cubs catcher Yan Gomes is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against right-hander J.T. Brubaker and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
What It Means:
Willson Contreras is shifting to catcher in place of Gomes on Tuesday. Frank Schwindel is at designated hitter and the six-hole while Alfonso Rivas returns to the lineup to play first base and bat fifth.
