Michael Taylor resting for Royals Tuesday in matinee
Kansas City Royals outfielder Michael Taylor is not in the starting lineup against right-hander Dylan Cease and the Chicago White Sox in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader.
The Royals are likely giving Taylor a little rest ahead of the second game of Tuesday's twin bill. Kyle Isbel is covering center field while MJ Melendez enters the lineup to play catcher and hit seventh. Salvador Perez is at designated hitter for Game 1.
numberFire’s models project Melendez for 7.9 FanDuel points on Tuesday, and he has a $2,200 salary. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Royals have the sixth-lowest implied total (3.71) on the All Day slate.
